Pentameter is a strategic communications advisory that works with businesses, founders and leaders at moments where clarity, consistency and trust matter most.
Our founder and principal James Doran spent more than 20 years as a senior business journalist with tier-one international publications, covering complex companies, industries and leadership decisions under real scrutiny. That background shaped how we work today. We focus on helping organisations explain themselves clearly, accurately and consistently - internally first, externally second.
Much of Pentameter’s work involves helping businesses formalise what already works, clarifying how a company describes itself, how it makes decisions, and how people across the organisation communicate with confidence and coherence. We work closely with staff at all levels to understand how the business works day to day, and then codifying that into practical, usable guidance.
Our role is to listen carefully, to identify patterns, and to help organisations put disciplined language around their purpose, strengths and ways of working so those things don’t get diluted as teams grow and change.
